Crash of the Titans

Crash of the Titans

This is another Crash Bandicoot platform game and is heavily based on combat.

As you proceed through the game you travel through tricky platforms sequences, progressively getting more difficult. Crash of the Titans has no real strategy however, you do have to mastering large combat scenes and face battles heavily outnumbered. The game is too focused on combat and does not have enough variety even for a platform game. There is an old school feel to it, especially with the way the game is laid out, and most of the menus have been left basically unchanged since PS2.

At the start of the 20 episodes you pick one of three difficulties to choose from easy, medium or hard. The episodes are setup with multiple arena’s in each level and hover board surfing. Although these are often random in length they provide a nice mix up of game play. So as you advance through the platform’s you hit the arena stage for a fight sequences.

Plants vs. Zombies

Plants vs. Zombies

Plants vs. Zombies has defined the versatility of the mobile platform with the successful transfer to numerous devices.

This game has gone from an IOS platform and rocketed with success. Now the Pop cap produced game is available across all popular gaming platforms. This strategy game has a free trial version which gives you a taste of the game.

If you enjoy tower defense strategy game then this is something to invest in and buy the full version. With the full version you get so many different plants, levels and game types to play. I found Plants vs. Zombies so addictive, for such a simple concept. There are magnitudes of content keeping you coming back for more. Plants vs. Zombies is mainly a single player game, however, on Xbox 360 there is a multiplayer game type, where locally you and a friend can control a side each. So player 1 might be the plants and player 2 the zombies.

Mario Party 8

Mario Party 8

Mario Party 8 is a multiplayer game for the Wii. You begin by selecting one of your favourite Mario Nintendo characters and then battle it out verse one or more of your friends in a variety of minigames. The game allows for multiple versions on the gameplay where you can choose to play your friends in a board-game like game, verse them head to head or simply have a bit of fun choosing your favourite type of mini-game. Mini-games are where you verse your friends in a quick arcade style game by using your Wii controller in a variety of motions to complete the set mini-game.
