Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Having had the original Samsung Galaxy Note I was a little unsure about what I should expect from the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, with it now being almost the flagship product, surpassing the Galaxy S5 by leaps and bounds. The mobile space is quite different now too, compared to when the original Phablet hit the market, with the release of the iPhone 6 Plus, it seems having a gigantic screen is almost in vogue. Barely any comparisons can be made however, between the 6 Plus and the Note 4, as the Note our strips the 6 Plus in almost every way (sorry fanboys).

The power of the phone is really it’s only down fall and by that I mean there are a handful of phones out there with better processes, but I literally mean a handful, maybe 4 (at the time of writing at least). Compared to 98% of the smartphone market the Note 4 is ridiculously powerful and more than capable of any task I’ve thrown it’s way. The 2Gb of RAM is more than I currently need for just about anything, even the multi-window mode seems to work flawlessly, though even with a screen this big it still doesn’t quite work, so I don’t use it much. The camera is just insanely good, with crazy clear photos from the rear 16 MP and 3.7 MP front facing cameras plus 4K video recording, enough said really.

I am by no means a photographer, but damn this camera is great!

My main issue with the phone is has the usual Samsung Galaxy Note bloat-ware and some of the idiosyncrasies that come along with this, but the main thing is the weird as noises that just seemed to randomly come out of the phone. My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at least was making a weird beeping noise intermittently and often once it started, it would continue to beep away for no apparent reason, just sitting flat on the desk for a good few minutes and then just as randomly stop making noise. I eventually worked out that it was the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 docking sound, who knew, and that the phone for no reason what-so-ever thought it was docking with something (might need to get that checked out) since turning off this notification sound though I have no no issues what so ever!

In summary freaking amazing phone!
